One of my favorites is "Marley was dead, to begin with." I'm sure you know what that is from. It is a great first sentence. It is creepy and it piques your interest. I also like that one from Pride and Prejudice.
The Christmas Carol. That is a good one. I need to read that again this year.
I think the opening paragraph of "A Tale of Two Cities" is sheer genius and reflective of the wisdom of Dickens. I love that story...maybe it's time for a re-read.
Maybe we could do that one for a January read??
Are we picking a book a month? What are the rules, regulations, instructions, whatever you want to call it for the blog? What is the purpose? I think a great line is
