Top 100 Books Of All Time - Plus Your Favorite 5 So Far This Year -

Newsweek has crunched the numbers from 10 best-books lists (Modern Library, Oprah's, and more) to come up with the Top 100 Books Of All Time .
These are the first three books on the list. Can you put them in the right order?

'1984' by George Orwell

'Ulysses' by James Joyce

'War and Peace' by Leo Tolstoy

Rounding out the rest of the top 10:
Lolita
The Sound and the Fury
The Invisible Man
To the Lighthouse
The Illiad and the Odyssey
Pride and Prejudice
Divine Comedy

What about you for 2009? What are your top 5 favorites you've read so far this year?
Mine are as follows, and it was really hard to narrow it down:

Black Sheep - by Georgette Heyer
Bird by Bird - by Anne Lamott
My Dear Cassandra, The Letters of Jane Austen- by Penelope Hughes-Hallett
A Midwife's Tale - by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
The Book Thief - by Markus Zusak

If I were to do completely new books I have read so far this year it would be:

1.Angels and Demons
2.The Lost City of Z
3.Garden Spells
4.The Cat Who Talked to Ghosts
5.Confessions of a Shopaholic/Assassination Vacation (I couldn’t decide between the two)

If I were to include books I have reread so far this year #3, 4 and 5 would be Harry Potter #6, #5, and #4. Although they are not my favorites in the Harry Potter series I have really enjoyed rereading them because I have forgotten so much of them it is almost like reading them again for the first time.

These are my favorite books I've read so far this year:

1. Rebecca
2. Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy
3. The Constant Princess
4. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
5. Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.
I know Percy Jackson is really five books, but I'm listing it anyway.
That was kind of fun to think about my favorites from just this year.

I have been pondering this all day! I think this is my list so far:

1. The Caliph's House
2. Coraline
3. A Midwife's Tale
4. The Omnivore's Dilemma
5. The Time Traveler's Wife

This list kind of surprised me. There's so much non-fiction on it! It's really unusual for me to read so much non-fiction, but I guess I'm starting to develop a taste for it.
