What to do with fresh basil besides sucking it up your nose it smells so good...

Homemade Garlic Pesto Sauce
4 cups lightly packed fresh basil leaves, rinsed and patted dry
4 garlic gloves
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup pine nuts
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

In a food processor, combine all ingredients except cheese. Process until smooth and well blended. Stir in the cheese if you're eating it right away. If you're going to freeze it for later use, I wait to add the cheese.

Then, like the Italians, eat it with a supreme look on your face! (I try not to moan too loud.)

Mmm, basil. We grow so much of this every year, and put it in EVERYTHING. It's my mom's favorite food. Seriously. If you add basil, she'll eat it. And add more basil.
I have been craving some end of the summer pesto...

I like it on rainbow pasta the best, or even better lather it on a slice of good bread, cover it with a tomato and mozzeralla cheese and toast it in an oven. It's so sticking good, I feel like I've died and gone to heaven!

That looks really good. I think if I had some here, I might even eat it for breakfast.

Oh, it is soooo breakfast food! I eat pizza for breakfast too. I'm happy I'm not the only one that does that!

My basil is dried up in its pot waiting to be thrown out on our deck.

This recipe sounds yummy; thanks

Big frost tomorrow. I picked everything I had. We'll be eating it for a while, until even our pee is green.

Diane - I keep trying to load your site, (specifically I think it's a picture you've got on there) but it won't let me, then my old computer's fan kicks in like it's running up a hill. Is mine the only one having a hard time?
